Alejandro Carrillo Gamboa graduated his studies of classic guitar and music education at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg with distinction.

He studied at further internationally renowned universities such as the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna (Austria), the University of Music and Dance in Cologne (Germany) and the Conservatorio de la Rosas in Morelia (México).

He took lessons and master courses by Roberto Aussel, Brigitte Zaczek, Álvaro Pierri, Maria Siewers, Pavel Steidl, Eliot Fisk, Ricardo Gallén, Scott Tennant. He was educated in choral and orchestral leadership by Herbert Böck, in old music by Jürgen Hübscher, Howard Penny and Luciano Contini, in modern music by Simonne Fontanelli, in singing by Albert Hartinger, and in playing the lute by Hans Brüderl.

 

Alejandro Carrillo Gamboa was born in Mexico. He has been hailed by the media as a virtuoso guitarist painting time with the magnificent sound of his instrument. He is known for his creativity to combine emotions with an elaborated intellectual concept. His style characterizes him as an outstanding poetic artist with extraordinary qualities on the guitar.

 

Alejandro facinates his audiences with vivacious interpretations of the great classical guitar music composers. Recently, he has also distinguished himself by, own compositions in combination with surprising sonic visions.

 

He has given a lot of concerts at different stages and international music festivals in America and Europe. In his native country he regularly performs concerts for broadcast and television.

 

On a regular basis, he is invited to various music festivals and universities in America and Europe to give concerts, conferences and master classes. Currently, he has recorded three CDs covering his solo music. He offers guitar lessons, for instance, in Munich.
